Samantha Desmond, ND, LMHCA, MHA, EMT Chief Medical Director
Leading the charge in healthcare quality improvement for patients through rational integrative healthcare applications, Dr. Samantha Desmond ND, LMHCA, MHA, EMT (AKA Dr. Sam), focuses on what works. Dr. Sam prescribes an evidence-based approach with patients, to be taken with a healthy dash of fun. Genuine connection, comfort, community, and play are the heart of the healing process and Dr. Sam encourages these vital elements with her patients. After seeing several of her friends lose their health, close relationships, and jobs due to problematic gaming disorder, Dr. Sam specialized in naturopathic psychiatry and works with technology dependency and addictions specifically. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University, her Business of Healthcare Certification from Johns Hopkins, and her Masters in Health Administration from the University of Washington. She is a past president of the Seattle Storytellers Guild, and plays a variety of instruments including the harp. Every other Sunday, she can be found providing free medical services to Seattle’s homeless population with Integrated Care Outreach, acting as a site coordinator. She also has an intense love of travel and the outdoors, often hopping across the pond to explore new lands and possibilities. She has two cats, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, who periodically volunteer for the neighborhood watch.
