Founded in 2009, reSTART Life, LLC is the nation’s premiere program for digital technology sustainability. reSTART serves emerging adults ages 18-28 with problematic digital technology use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Job Summary
Provide life enriching social activities for participants; be able to observe, assess and understand human behavior, think critically, act ethically using input from a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, coaches, and program staff. Ideal candidates will engage and educate young adults with fun, laughter, and challenge as they promote the benefits of an active (non-digital) lifestyle.
Job Responsibilities
In this position you will:
• Develop and implement an appropriate variety of small group and individual activities
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
• Communicate individual progress/problems with the team
• Plan and implement activities/events
• Assist with training and supervising volunteers/interns and their activities
• Provide a positive and safe recreation environment and experience
• Inspect and maintain recreation equipment
• Be able to set appropriate boundaries with others and hold them accountable
• Be punctual and conduct yourself in a professional manner
• Maintain certifications as required
• Transport clients to community meetings and activities
• Be the primary staff member on duty during shift
Qualifications
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Art or Recreation Therapy, or professional experience preferred.
• Experience with emerging adults in educational, mental health, and/or residential setting preferred.
• Valid WA State DL and good driving record.
• Ability to pass Washington State background check.
• Ability to work with team of clinical and residential staff.
• Completion of CPR, First Aid, CPI non-violent crisis intervention within 30 days.
• Good communication skills, positive team member, self-starter.
Shift Coverage: This is a part-time weekend shift position Saturday 8-5pm, and Sunday from 11:00am to 8:00pm with 1 hour paid lunch break.
Salary Range: $14-$16 base hourly depending on experience and qualifications; employment hiring decisions made after 90-day performance evaluation.
