Leave it to a teen psychologist to earn a scholarship for investigating cell phone addiction among teens. High school senior Michelle Hackman won a $75,000 college scholarship with a project on cell-phone addiction. Michelle hypothesized that cell phone users were less anxious than those without them. Interestingly, her research found just the opposite. Youth using cellphones are in fact, more anxious than their peers without cell phones.
