The reSTART program was established in 2009 in an effort to: assist individuals, youth and families balance their technology use and reconnect with real life; increase awareness and understanding of technology based process addictions; develop programs to increase awareness of the status, problems, and needs of individuals afflicted by problematic technology use; provide services to address the needs and concerns of users; provide informational and educational resources on process addictions; and serve as an advocate for prevention and research on this emerging social problem.
Required Training/Retreat: one full (paid) day at the beginning of each semester
Work Hours: 10+ hours/week, based on student’s schedule
Duration: 2-3+ internship
Compensation: Federal work-study award
Position reports to: Clinical Director
Additional Info: Non-traditional work arrangement, hybrid working environment virtual, in person, and changing locations.
Job Description:
Creative mind looking to build a brand from the ground up. New media and grassroots marketing creator - we are working to build our brand awareness among our target market and end users by looking a low cost, grassroots ways to build our brand and the perception of the brand. We are looking for a marketing maverick with creative ingenuity and experience with new media to work with a health-care start-up and build our brand from the ground up. This person will display passion, an unconfined creative mind, with experience with the powers of new media. The objectives will include significantly improving company's website placement through SEO and other methods, developing and implementing a creative grassroots marketing strategy, leveraging new media to build brand awareness and developing unique low-cost methods (PR, traditional media avenues, workshops, online video and tutorials, etc.).
Create a creative marketing plan for to build the company brand and brand awareness. Researching relevant content, contacts and potential customers, updating social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, and other newly emerging tools). Brings ideas to brand awareness and brand building. Interact and be responsible for daily tasks and activities that align to the marketing strategy and brand building activities. Help design and produce a YouTube tutorial. Help raise the company website placement by utilizing SEO, helping develop a blog and creating linkage to other relevant sites. Help organize and put on medication management education workshops. Other duties as assigned.
All applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- be eligible for Federal Work Study through Financial Aid with a 2.75 GPA
- have strong writing skills
- familiarity of the power of Facebook and twitter as a brand building tool
- possess creative display ingenuity
- have basic or advanced SEO knowledge
- be a self-starter
- have experience with animation, film and producing Youtube videos
- possess the ability to multi-task
- work reliably and independently with minimal supervision
- have strong interpersonal communication skills
- be a committed team player
- possess strong planning and organizational skills
