On Call Relief Staff
The reSTART program has an On-Call Relief Worker list to provide 24-hour coverage at the reSTART Center. This position is an entry-level position. On-Call Relief Workers will be covering the Center on a 24-hour basis and will be making decisions within the procedures and policies of the program and under the supervision of the treatment director. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Independent assessment as well as policy guidelines of specific, medical, emotional, or crisis needs of yclients and coordinating referrals and placements with appropriate resources within the community.
- Answering emergency/crisis phone calls from parents, clients, and other agencies by providing appropriate information as well as working cooperatively with full time staff.
- Providing program maintenance by data input and update of client's file, summarizing and writing interview notations and interagency memos.
On-Call Relief Workers should have knowledge of the following : Treatment Center policies and procedures, rules and regulations, departmental safety procedures including airborne and blood borne disease control, fire safety, first-aid procedures.
On-Call Relief Workers should also possess considerable skill to: maintain discipline and orderly conduct, understand and apply state laws, rules and regulations and department policies and procedures, work without direct supervision with but within departmental policies and procedures, communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
